The new Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in West Kirby will integrate various existing local watch groups, such as the Vehicles on Watch (VOW) and Riders on Watch (ROW) programs, under a unified Community Watch Scheme (CWS). This interest-based approach, rather than a purely geographical one, will allow residents to participate in the areas most relevant to them, whether that’s home safety, transportation, or online security.
“By signing up for an interest group, members can look forward to regular updates, including crime-related advisories, as well as opportunities to participate in crime prevention projects, workshops or even training,” explains a spokesperson from the West Kirby Police Department. “Residents can contribute to the safety and security of our community by sharing information, staying vigilant, and working with the police through various initiatives.”
Community Events
